Reviews and Ratings
I was assigned a room with a great view, although it didn't look like it had been properly cleaned before our stay. The room was adequate overall, but there were some cleanliness issues. The service from the staff was impressive, particularly in assisting us in getting a room and providing helpful directions to open restaurants late at night. The location was excellent, near Queen Street and the wharf, making it convenient for accessing everything in downtown Auckland. The dining experience, while decent, left something to be desired in terms of value for money. Overall, the hotel offers a good stay with some room for improvement.
The hotel room was in poor condition and not clean to an acceptable standard, lacking refurbishment; however, it had a large bed, good kitchen, washer, and dryer but nowhere to work. On the bright side, it was super spacious, had all essential amenities, very clean, and conveniently close to everything.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. On the upside, the room we got was equipped with a clothes washer & dryer, which was super handy during our month-long stay. However, the nights were quite challenging as the room was overly warm, and the street noise, combined with loud music, made it hard to sleep with open windows. The massive unit in the room was also too loud, forcing us to turn it off overnight, leading to a stuffy atmosphere.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room, while clean and warm, lacked proper air conditioning and faced an active construction site. The location was convenient for exploring the city but surrounded by noisy construction sites. The dining options were limited and overpriced. Overall, a mixed experience.
The hotel had beautiful views, but the rooms were in need of an update. Despite being clean, there was an issue with rain leaking in, leading to a damp carpet smell. The price seemed high compared to the overall condition.
The hotel had very small rooms facing a loud road near an adult entertainment center, which makes it unsuitable for families with children. However, the hotel offered me a suite with a harbor view at an extra cost, making the stay more pleasant. The location was excellent for exploring downtown Auckland, but the dining experience was average with limited options. Service was responsive, with proactive attempts to address issues.
I couldn't stand the awful smell in the rooms, had to keep the sliding doors open with fans blowing constantly. On the bright side, the shower and bathroom were good, and having a washing machine and dryer was convenient. The bed was big and comfy, with lots of closet space. The kitchen facilities were great for cooking a full meal if you wanted to, but the room decor felt outdated, needing a modern touch.
The hotel was a mixed bag with fully-equipped rooms but a lackluster experience due to poor service. On the bright side, the location was great for special events, but ongoing construction was a downside.
I loved the hotel's convenient location near downtown, Britomart, and Auckland's attractions. The room was always tidy and clean, equipped with a useful kitchen and laundry facilities, but it lacked face cloths, tissues, and full-length mirrors. The service was polite overall, although there were some lapses in hospitality. The dining options were a mix of hits and misses. The location was excellent for exploring Auckland's hotspots, despite some noisy surroundings. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were well-equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, and dryer, along with comfortable beds. The only drawback was the noise when the windows were open. I wish they had better kitchen utensils, as not everything was available. However, the room itself was spacious and had all the necessary amenities, including a large bed, flat-screen TV, and bathroom/laundry facilities.
The hotel offers comfortable and clean rooms but lacks an electric jug and balcony, with a not-so-nice view. The service was accommodating and assisted with transport options, although some communication issues were noted. Despite being in a fabulous location near the CBD and viaduct, aspects like room size and view may not fully meet expectations. Overall, a decent option if you value cleanliness and convenience.
The hotel was in a central location, close to various amenities, but noise from the streets and strong winds made the stay challenging. The room, although basic and showing signs of wear, had some issues like a malfunctioning TV and inadequate lighting. The service from the staff was pleasant and helpful, making the overall experience better.
I experienced a mix of positives and negatives during my stay at the hotel. The rooms were a bit underwhelming and smaller than expected, but the check-in process was convenient. The service was hit or miss, with some helpful staff members and others who seemed unfriendly. The location was great for my needs, despite being in a slightly seedy area. The dining options were decent but somewhat repetitive. Overall, my stay had its ups and downs.
The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal, shops, and restaurants, offering a nice view of the city. The rooms were in perfect condition, but the bathroom maintenance was lacking. The service was a mix of accommodating and unresponsive, but they tried to rectify issues. The dining was described as Spartan, with repetitive breakfast options. The hotel has some unique home-grown fruit offerings, but the dining experience wasn't exceptional. Despite some drawbacks, the overall value for money was reasonable.
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Auckland, offering a fabulous view of the harbor and ensuring a peaceful night's sleep despite being fully booked. The room cleanliness and comfort are top-notch, however, the need for renovations is evident. The dining experience may not meet expectations, with an optional breakfast at an additional cost. The staff are friendly and accommodating, complementing the convenient location well.
